Original Title

Inland

Synopsis

Somewhere on the Spanish inland a sheep shepherd dreams of traveling to Titicaca, a retired musical duo recalls his golden age, two girls look for pokemons without any luck and a grandfather recounts the empty houses of the town in order to fall asleep. The characters in this film appear as geographical features of a territory whose culture and lifestyle seem to fade over time. That territory is the true protagonist of this story. In an observational and almost surrealist manner, Inland is configured as a film-map to navigate the past, present and future of the rural Spanish environment. A sensory journey through the landscape of empty Spain.
