Joxe and Patxi Azurmendi are the last basket makers in Matxinbenta, a village in the province of Gipuzkoa traditionally devoted to this activity. Every day they get up at dawn, collect chestnut wood, and cut it into strips. In the same workshop where their parents worked, they bend and polish the strips, and weave them into baskets until sunset, explaining the process in great detail to us while they work.

Jose Ramón Jauregui is the third generation of a family of blacksmiths and he founded his current workshop 80 years ago in Urnieta. Today José Ramón is the last blacksmith in the Basque country and he still works in the workshop where he learned his trade.

In this documentary we meet the master artisan Javier Martínez, one of the last active craftsmen devoted exclusively to the craft of making stained glass. From start to finish, he shows us the different techniques involved in making stained glass.

Javier started out as a glass maker by chance but 40 years later he is the last artisan working exclusively in stained glass, in the workshop Vidrieras Morillas (Morillas Glassworks) that he inherited from his master.
